Write Letters to the Editor

One of the most effective ways to get out the Libertarian Message is by writing letters to the editor. Recognizing the importance of these efforts, the Advocates For Self Government are awarding the Lights of Liberty Award to those who have three letters to the editor containing the word “Libertarian” or “libertarian” published in a non-Libertarian newspaper or magazine within a year. Send the Libertarian Party of Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County a copy of any letter you mail to the editor, and we will keep track of how many you write and submit your name to the Advocates for Self Government so that you can qualify for a Lights of Liberty Award. Any mention of the Libertarian Party of Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County or www.lpmndc.org would be greatly appreciated. The following publications accept Letters to the Editor:

The Tennessean

Letters to the editor: Letters will be edited. Preference will be given to letters of less than 250 words. To be considered for publication, letters must include the writer's name, street address and daytime telephone number. Only the name, hometown and ZIP code will be published. Letter writers who would like their e-mail addresses published should include that address with the letter. Letters may be mailed to Letters to the Editor, The Tennessean, 1100 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37203. They may be e-mailed to letters@tennessean.com or faxed to 615-259-8093.

Nashville Eye submissions should be between 600-700 words. Columns chosen for publication will be edited. Submitted columns cannot be returned to the writers. Columns submitted for consideration for the Nashville Eye may be mailed to Sandra Roberts, The Tennessean, 1100 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37102. They may be e-mailed to sroberts@tennessean.com or faxed to 615-259-8093.

Community Voices is a bulletin board in discussion format where you may post messages on local topics.
